Building Patient Confidence and Increasing Visits
With a more-than-forty year history, SF Oral Surgery has served generations of patients in San Francisco. Its oral and maxillofacial surgeons conduct a range of procedures for the mouth, teeth, and face.
The practice wanted to increase visits to its website, and it aimed to convert more of these visitors into scheduled appointments. The site’s navigation included several pages with limited, less valuable, and out-of-date content, and it utilized an Adobe Flash platform, which was not accessible to mobile visitors. The website content was also very thin, copied from another source and was not conversion-friendly. The branding of SF Oral Surgery was also outdated, and they were looking for something fresh and new.
With all new branding (including a new logo and print assets for in the office, Firm Media replaced the Flash platform with a responsive design that is mobile- and tablet-friendly. We also conducted extensive search engine optimization to help SF Oral Surgery be found online. Our company restructured and rewrote the site’s content to make it more effective, and we included elements aimed at increasing engagement and reducing anxiety related to surgery. These include individual biographic pages (to show the surgeons’ personal side,) patient testimonials, and a website video. The video shows the office, the staff and has the doctors speaking about what patients can expect when they come into the office as well as why they love to perform oral surgery.
SF Oral Surgery is very well known in the San Francisco area, but their social media presence did not reflect that. Their platforms had low LIKES or Followings, and very little engagement on posts. With Firm Media’s strategic social media marketing, SF Oral Surgery is now experiencing a larger reach with their posts as well as more engagement.
With the website redesign and development, Firm Media wanted to make sure that SF Oral Surgery stood out amongst its competitors so when patients were searching for an oral surgeon, they knew there was one that stood above the rest. A series of Retargeting ads were created to help accomplish this goal by bringing users back to the site after they had done their research on other oral surgery practices.
SF Oral Surgery also did not want to rely solely on organic search listings, so they enlisted Firm Media to run their Pay-Per-Click campaign. With strategic targeting and weekly management, PPC is one of SF Oral’s top ways of acquiring new patients.
Within 90 days of relaunching SF Oral Surgery’s website, it was ranking on the first page of search results for 70% of its targeted terms, helping to drive visitors to the site. Traffic to the site has increased by 88% since the site launch. The amount of LIKEs SF Oral Surgery’s Facebook page has has increased by 354%. The Retargeting and PPC are working in tandem to bring back users who did not convert on the first click.
